New York Six Upstate Undergraduate Research Conference 9/17

The Sixth Annual New York Six Upstate Undergraduate Research Conference will be held on Saturday, September 17 at Hamilton College in Clinton, NY.  The event will run from 9:30am to 4:30pm.  The aim of the conference is to provide undergraduate students with the opportunity to present their work at a professional meeting without the barriers of high travel and registration fees.  It is also an excellent opportunity for faculty in the area to meet one another, foster collaborations, and share their research.

Students will have the opportunity to present their research as an oral presentation (12 minutes) or as a poster presentation (posters should be 3'high x 4'wide).  Students across the New York Six Liberal Arts Consortium and other regional schools are invited to participate.

If you have any questions, you may contact the NY6 Project Manager, Nell Bartkowiak, at or the conference coordinator Gordon Jones, Professor of Physics at Hamilton College.

>>Student presenters should submit abstracts by filling out the registration form, available online at the following URL:

New for 2016!  This year, in an effort to include works by student artists, this event will feature an exhibition of student photography and video works which will be displayed in a one-day pop-up exhibition that afternoon, and will include a reception and viewing of the works by all conference attendees.  The works will be displayed in the galleries of Hamilton's new Kennedy Center for Theatre and the Studio Arts.  Student artists are encouraged to attend the Conference and specific events will be arranged for those artists in attendance.  For more details on this exhibition and related events, visit the following URL:
